Lindsay & Carew – ceremony, August 22, 2008
When I arrived at the home of Lindsay’s parents there was a swirl of activity more hurried than the expected wedding day buzz. Mother nature had been storming all night and the ceremony, which was supposed to take place in her mother’s exceptional garden, now had to be moved inside. It was happy chaos though and Lindsay- one of the most zen brides I’ve ever met, just smiled as if she could somehow know that this would inevitably turn out to be the most perfect day.
A small gathering of close family & friends witnessed Lindsay & Carew exchange vows & seal them with a kiss as the sun finally came out. With cocktails in the garden, a delicious dinner in the welcoming home and some of the most memorable toasts I’ve ever heard. It was an intimate wedding day celebration that many couples would dream of.
The celebration followed the next evening, and I will post those by Friday. Until then….

I love the emotion in this shot, as I’m certain Lindsay’s father wore the same expression.

This is one of my favourite images of all time. This was during the family photos, as they were waiting for her grandma and I’m certain they weren’t aware I was photographing them. I absolutely love the look on Lindsay’s face – there’s no way I could have ever done anything or said anything for her to look so blissful. It was all Carew.
One last moment alone before Lindsay & Carew join their family & friends.
Andrea Mancini from Soiree Event Planning did an impeccable job in every way possible.
