CaroQuilla Underwear Company is a Winnipeg based designer, producer and online retailer of environmentally sustainable women’s underwear and essentials.
At their core, CaroQuilla cares about the environment and women’s mental health. For them, the two are inexorably linked. They believe self care is best supported by being active, enjoying nature and enjoying our bodies, as they are. Evidence shows that being active AND being in nature releases endorphins. We feel better when we move and are outside. A clean and healthy environment is essential for this.

Because of their concern for the environment, CaroQuilla focuses on sustainable materials and all of their garments have a common thread (pun intended!) Organic Bamboo. The benefits of bamboo fabrics are endless. Not only are they naturally eco-friendly, but they are also resilient and super soft.
I was standing over my underwear drawer one day. Distressed because I could not, in good conscience, throw away all these dozens of worn out undies made of man-made materials. Nylon takes as much as 40 years to degrade! I couldn’t live with myself if I threw them out.
A combination of moments, spent with customers as a professional bra fitter. There, in the change room with women at their most vulnerable, I saw just how common it is for us women to dislike our own bodies. Tall or short, Big or thin, every woman shared a common trait of disliking something significant about themselves.
I was born in El Salvador and raised in Canada. I am a proud Latina-Canadian, a proud entrepreneur, and proud woman. I started CaroQuilla to make a positive impact on the environment and on women.
I have spent years designing and developing an underwear that is made from bamboo to provide an environmentally responsible option for women, but equally important, I designed an underwear that fits and feels fantastic on your body.
