Traditional Indigenous beadwork and knowledge combined together to make modern and unique pieces of art.

Nimis Creations {Nimis (big sister) in cree}, designs a variety of art from beadwork made with all types of beads, tanned moose & deer hide, antler bone, birchbark, porcupine quills, caribou hair and sweetgrass - to mosaic wood art, triangle wood shelves made from salvaged wood, and Indigenous patterned face masks. Blanche is a self-taught artist who enjoys sharing her work with others, doing her best to pass on her traditional culture in hopes of inspiring all Indigenous people to be proud of who they are no matter where they come from. Nimis is a firm believer in sourcing materials from the land which allows you to carry land-based teachings and the knowledge of her people everywhere you go!

As a First Nations woman I have had to face many challenges, it is through my Indigenous culture and creative process that I have found the strength to stand proud, find healing and connect to my people.

Boozhoo!

I am Blanche Chief, the artist & behind Nimis Creations. As I began my journey to self discovery as a proud First Nations woman it led me to the traditional beadwork and art of my people. I am a graduated of Red River collage with a diploma in Child and Youth Care and am currently in my second year at University of Winnipeg in Indigenous Studies. My Traditional culture had been lost for so long, I wanted to be apart of the Indigenous movement that is bringing our traditional knowledge and creative practices to the forefront.
