Hi! I’m Joëlle, and this shop started with my admiration for brooches and charms, which was passed down from my grandmothers Oliva and Olga, along with important vintage values of repurposing and recycling. I love to express myself through style, but being aware of the negative social and environmental impacts of the fashion industry, I made a decision to do more with what already exists.
Oliva + Olga revives and renews interest in broken, unloved and discarded jewelry. By re-creating some and styling others, we challenge trends and bring circularity to fashion by curating and creating sustainable jewelry. Our permanent collection recycles unloved adornments by redesigning them into new again pieces heavily inspired by classical art, and the decadence and excess of the Renaissance period. Our curated collections of pre-loved pieces reflect soft and romantic French aesthetic, as well as as the locket, charm, and brooch obsessed Victorian era.
